Hotate sashimi are renowned in Japan for their sweet flavor and soft, chewy texture. Plump, juicy and sweet, these Hokkaido Scallops are harvested and individually, quick-frozen within hours of harvest, making them sashimi grade quality.
Being sashimi grade, these jumbo scallops can be consumed directly after thawing. They are great for sashimi application but are just as delicious, sautéed or broiled. All scallops can be grilled and cooked, but not all scallops can be eaten raw.
